Caterpillar Update

Caterpillars no more!  I caught a glimpse of a black swallowtail as it emerged from its cocoon--fresh, shiny and beautiful.
I wrote about these caterpillars earlier--they are beautiful in their own right.  But there's nothing quite like the glorious coloration of new, unfluttered butterfly wings.

Unusual Suspects Re-Airs

If you missed A Mother's Conviction, last Sunday's episode of Unusual Suspects on Investigation Discovery, the show is scheduled to be re-broadcast on Sunday, July 4 at 7:00 PM Eastern.

You'll see an incompetent prosecutor at his obstinate worst, a serial killer with no sense of guilt and an author--me--who happened onto stumble into the confession that made an enormous difference to justice for one wrongfully convicted woman.

The first half of the show is predominately from the point of view of the aforementioned prosecutor.  It will be upsetting to anyone who knows and believes in Julie Rea Harper.  But the second half is from the point of view of the truth and the miscarriage of justice perpetrated by law enforcement and the prosecutor is more than apparent.

I originally told a portion of this story in my first true crime book, Through the Window.
